Location: Claresholm, Alberta
Work location: On-site, employer's home
Salary: $22.00 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Employment: Full-time, term or contract
Start: As soon as possible
Experience: No experience required; training will be provided
Room and board: Provided

We are seeking a reliable, caring and responsible live-in caregiver to provide childcare in our home in rural Claresholm, Alberta.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise and care for children

• Bathe, dress and feed children

• Change diapers and assist with toilet training

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Sterilize bottles and prepare formula

• Organize games, activities and outings

• Help children with homework

• Take children to and from school and appointments

• Prepare children for rest periods

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Support children's emotional well-being

• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment

• Keep records of children's daily activities and health information

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Shop for food and household supplies

• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

• Cook

• Assume responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents

• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Requirements:

• English

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

• CPR Certificate

• First Aid Certificate

• Valid driver's licence

• Criminal record check

• Vulnerable sector check

• Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks

• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work setting:

• Employer's home

• Rural area

• Non-smoking environment

• Room and board provided (optional at no charge)- Live- in accommodation is NOT a condition of employment.

• Willingness to relocate to Claresholm required
